Eres Tú

Its time to change a bit on our featured music..... lets try another country music...
This song is entitled Eres Tú ( You Are ) a 1973 song by Juan Carlos Calderon, performed by Mocedades.
Mocedades (youth) is a name of a group of students in the Spanish city of Bilbao, which they represented Spain in the Eurovision Song contest In 1973 and won as runner up.With Their lead singer Amanya Uranga.

I love this song because of its strong rendition of country music.. at the same time the vocalist voice is really emotional in which you can feel the essence and meaning of the song even though its in a foreign language.
This song had a massive hit in Europe and United States of America. Eres Tú became one of the only Spanish language songs to reach the top 10 in the United States, peaking at #9 in the Billboard Hot 100 chart and also reaching the top 10 on the Adult Contemporary chart.

There were also several cover versions of the tune in both English and Spanish, only one of which ("Touch the Wind" as done in English by Eydie Gorme), charted, becoming a minor Adult Contemporary hit. The song was re-released in English as "Touch The Wind" in later years.
You Can also visit Youtube for the video version of this song, in which you will be able to see them singing this song in the Eurovision Song Contest.

And below is the lyrics of this song:

"Eres Tú "

Como una promesa, eres tu, eres tu

Como una manana de verano

Como una sonrisa, eres tu, eres tu

Asi, asi, eres tu

Toda mi esperanza, eres tu, eres tu

Como lluvia fresca en mis manos

como fuerte brisa, eres tu, eres tu

Asi, asi, eres tu

Eres tu...
